LITTLE ROCK, AR - Legislators today announced the start of a Web site where Arkansas residents can track a survey of the condition of public school facilities in the state.

The Arkansas Supreme Court has ruled that the state, rather than local districts, are responsible for ensuring all districts have adequate facilities.  The Legislature has hired a consultant to coordinate an assessment of the state's more than 80 million square feet of school space.

Results of the $2.3 million survey are to be released in November.
