Fire at workshop guts race cars and oxygen tanks, no injuries reported

CRAIGHEAD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A workshop, housing race cars and oxygen tanks went up in flames Tuesday evening in northern Craighead County.

According to the Philadelphia Fire Department, a large workshop on County Road 757 caught fire around 4:30pm Tuesday afternoon.

The shop contained two race cars and oxygen tanks.

Firefighters say the shop was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived, and the roof had already caved in.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire, but the building and cars are a total loss.

There is no word on what caused the fire.

No injuries were reported.
