Marion native Romo Westbrook and Valley View alum John Gay named Beyond Sports Network All-Americans

SEARCY (HardingSports.com) – Harding sophomore fullback Romo Westbrook and sophomore kicker John Gay were named to the 2012 Beyond Sports Network All-America Team on Wednesday. Westbrook was a 1st Team honoree and Gay was named to the 3rd Team.
Westbrook, a native of Marion, Ark., started all 11 games at fullback and rushed for 655 yards on 110 carries with five touchdowns. A 1st Team All-Great American Conference honoree, Westbrook averaged 6.0 yards per rush and 59.5 rushing yards per game.
Gay, who hails from Jonesboro, Ark., made 14-of-18 field goals with a long of 44 yards and set a school record by making all 43 extra-point attempts. Another 1st Team All-GAC honoree, Gay tied for the conference lead in field goals made and was the only kicker in the conference to make every extra point.
