WYNNE, AR - An essay about turning Generation X into Generation Example has propelled a northeast Arkansas woman to a small group of finalists in an MTV project.

Twenty-year-old Princella Smith of Wynne would get to speak at the Republican National Convention in New York if she wins.  Smith is among ten finalists among Republicans for MTV's Choose or Lose campaign.

Smith, a minister's daughter, is a junior majoring in history and political science at Ouachita Baptist University in Arkadelphia.  She's currently an unpaid intern for U.S. Representative John Boozman.  Smith has also worked for Governor Mike Huckabee.

Smith said that, after she graduates, she plans to spend some time on the campaign trail and then head to law school.
