OSCEOLA, AR (KAIT) –A man living in Lepanto is in jail following the execution of warrants bymultiple police agencies.
According to MarionPolice Department Assistant Chief Gerald Martin, a capital murder warrant was servedon John D. Thompson Monday night in Osceola while he was at work. Officers alsosearched his workplace, as part of the execution of a search warrant.
Martin statesanother search warrant was executed near the same time at Thompson's home at118 Will Henry Drive in Lepanto. Evidence was recovered at both locations.
The murder warrantstems from an incident on August 27, 2011. Martin states that Thompson's wife,Danielle Thompson, was found dead at 953 Lackey Road in Marion.
John Thompson is inthe Crittenden County Jail and is expected to be in court Wednesday for a formalbond hearing.
Along with Marion police, Louisiana StatePolice, Mississippi Bureau of Investigation, Osceola Police Department, CrittendenCounty Sheriff's Department and Poinsett County Sheriff's Department aided inthe investigation.
