SURPRISE, Ariz. (SportsDayDFW.com) – Russell Wilson reported early.
For his one-day visit with the Rangers on Monday, Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl-winning quarterback Russell Wilson actually showed up Sunday night. Voluntarily. Wilson began his visit with the Rangers by joining the team's dinner for sponsors, suite holders and players in Scottsdale. He spent 15-20 minutes answering questions about his approach and preparation.
"He talked about self-motivation and on priding himself on getting ready," said Rangers outfielder Michael Choice, who at 24 is a year younger than Wilson. "To see a guy that age that poised and that prepared was really impressive. He is well beyond his years in terms of wisdom. Yes, I learned something, but I think he could talk to 40-year-olds and they'd learn something, too."
