Car hits tree and catches fire, sheriff's office investigating

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Craighead County Sheriff's Office is investigating an Wednesday morning crash that destroyed a vehicle.
It happened in Jonesboro just off County Road 431.
Valley View Fire Chief Tony Bittle said fire crews were called out to the crash around 7:40 a.m.
Bittle says the vehicle was in flames when they arrived and they had to call Craighead County Emergency Management to the scene due to a fuel and oil leak.
The woman driving the car was able to make it out of the vehicle before it caught fire.
