BATESVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Southside fire crews responded to an early morning fire Sunday at the UPS plant on Pepsi Cola Road.

Chief Jeremy Loggins said a delivery van inside the plant shorted out and caught fire, which then spread to a second vehicle and the building.

The first vehicle is a total loss, while the building is in need of repairs.

However, Chief Loggins said it was almost business as usual Monday. UPS employees were working out of portable offices, while contractors started repairs on the building.

Loggins said UPS hopes to be back 100 percent by next Monday.
