Teens accused of breaking into buses

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police arrested 2 teens Saturday night, accused of breaking into several buses and stealing fire extinguishers.

The teens, ages 13 and 15, are charged with fleeing, criminal mischief, breaking and entering, and theft less than $1,000.

The boys are accused breaking into 5 buses parked at Nettleton Intermediate Center, 2211 Dewey, and stealing 8 fire extinguishers.

According to Officer Seth Nichols incident report, when he arrived at the scene around 4:47 p.m. Saturday, he saw 5 to 7 boys "spraying each other with a fire extinguisher."

When he approached the group, the teens ran off toward the Bel-Aire Village apartments.

Two officers responding to the scene managed to stop the two suspects and arrest them.

The boys were taken to the Craighead County Juvenile Detention Center.
