JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Jonesboro police say a man suspected of taking a gun onto the A-State campus Thursday threatened to commit suicide or kill someone the day before the incident.
On Wednesday, Dec.9, police investigated a report that Brad Bartelt, 47, posted on Facebook that he was "suicidal and homicidal."
Two officers were dispatched to Bartelt's home in the 1000-block of Hall Street, according to the incident report.
When the officers arrived they were told that Bartelt "was already seeking medical assistance."
A check of records at the Craighead County Sheriff's Office indicate Bartelt has never been incarcerated at the detention center.
