Pedestrian killed in Stoddard County

STODDARD COUNTY, MO (KAIT) - A pedestrian was killed in Stoddard County after being hit by a car early Saturday morning.
The accident happened three miles east of Dexter on U. S. Highway 60 at around 12:10 Saturday morning according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
The victim, 42-year-old Jason McCollum of Sikeston, Missouri, was walking westbound in the driving lane of U. S. Highway 60 when he was hit by a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu.
McCollum was pronounced dead at the scene by the Stoddard County assistant coroner.
