PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - A benefit concert plans to raise money to help endow a scholarship at Arkansas State University.

The concert is planned for Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 7 p.m. at the Collins Theatre in Paragould.

Full Blown Insanity, White Raven, and Bulletproof will play.

Shawn Sullivan is a member of Full Blown Insanity and helped organize the event.

He said the concert will benefit the Kathlyn and Earl Yarbrough Scholarship for students at Arkansas State University.

Sullivan said Kathlyn and her husband were long-time supporters of A-State and she worked there for many years.

He described her as a caring and giving woman who always helped with whatever she had.

Kathlyn's granddaughter created the scholarship in her grandparents' honor, but it has not been endowed yet.

Sullivan said they are just a few thousand dollars away from hitting the $25,000 endowment requirement.

Donations and a portion of ticket sales will be donated to the scholarship.

Tickets are $15 at the door or can be purchased at Hays in Paragould for $10.

Sullivan said the concert is for all ages.

The Collins Theatre is located at 122 W. Emerson in Paragould.
