JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - One person was arrested after crashing a car into a house at 723 Southwest Drive Tuesday afternoon.

The crash shut down traffic for more than an hour.

Jonesboro police said the driver 19-year-old Megan Adams, was huffing while she was driving.

Adams was headed south on Southwest Drive when she crossed three lanes of traffic, went off the road, and crashed into the house.

Nobody was injured but Adams was arrested at the scene.

Homeowner Kathy McSwain said one of her dogs was asleep just five feet from where the car came into her home.

"That was my main concern," McSwain said. "I didn't care about my house, I mean, I did but my concern was the babies, to get them out first because I thought a water heater or something had exploded or a gas line. I just didn't know."

Adams faces charges of DWI/drugs and inhaling of intoxicating compounds as well as reckless driving.
