Region 8 native awarded $50,000 on ABC talk show

WEINER, AR (KAIT) - A Region 8 native was awarded $50,000 to continue her work to end food insecurity.
Weiner native, Jessica McClard, appeared on the new ABC talk show Harry, Monday.
As Region 8 News reported, she was invited to be a part of Harry's Leading Lady segment.
Harry Connick Jr. shared McClard's story about her creation of The Little Free Pantry in Northwest Arkansas.
She explained she never thought a small idea would take off globally as this has.
At the end of the interview, McClard was awarded a check for $50,000 from Walmart to continue her work with The Little Free Pantry.
"I didn't think I could be more grateful," McClard said in the interview.
