Several Southeast Missouri fire crews fought a large salvage yard fire on Wednesday.
According to Kennett Fire Department Battalion Chief David Horton, the fire broke out at Lacks Auto Salvage yard in Kennett.
Horton said around 300 cars were involved in the fire, causing large flames and a massive cloud of black smoke.
He believes the fire started from a garbage fire that got out of control.
Luckily, no one was injured in the fire. Crews from Kennett, Hayti, Senath and Caruthersville spent hours putting out the flames.
