Police investigate vehicle theft from business

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Investigators would like to have a talk with at least three people who reportedly were involved in the theft of a vehicle from a business early Wednesday.

According to a Jonesboro police report, Sgt. David McDaniel went to Pope Lawn Care, 2500 W. Washington Ave., around 8:30 a.m. about the theft. The owner of the vehicle told police that a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado was owned by the business, was for sale and that the license plate was removed.

A surveillance video reportedly caught the three people walking up to the vehicle around 1:40 a.m. and got inside. The window was broken out while the three were seen walking around the truck for a few minutes. Then, another truck drove up and the second truck was used to pull the Silverado away, police said.

Anyone with information on the theft can call Jonesboro Crimestoppers at 870-935-STOP (7867).
