CLEBURNE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A small amount of methamphetamine found inside a county vehicle led to a larger amount found inside the Cleburne County jail.

According to a news release, the Cleburne County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division received information on Nov. 7 that a small amount of meth was found in a work-release vehicle and that it was believed it came from a work-release inmate.

Detectives then got information that there may be a larger amount of meth inside the jail.

Detectives, deputies, and jailers searched the housing pod where the work release inmates are housed.

During the search, over 30 grams of meth was found in inmate Jamie Heaver's possession.

Heaver was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia, and furnishing, possessing, or using prohibited articles.

The investigation is ongoing.
