BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) - Blytheville firefighters spent several hours battling a blaze that destroyed a home Friday night.

According to Blytheville Fire Department Capt. Tony Emmert, firefighters went to a home in the 2400 block of Peabody Street around 11 p.m. Friday. No one was in the home at the time of the fire and authorities believe squatters may have been living in the home.

Also, no utilities were hooked up to the home.

No one was injured in the blaze and the cause of the fire was still under investigation, Emmert said.
