POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - Emergency crews responded to the scene of a small plane crash at the Pocahontas Municipal Airport.
The crash, involving a single-engine airplane, happened around 11 a.m. Thursday.
Pocahontas Police Chief Cecil Tackett tells Region 8 News the unnamed pilot was okay and refused medical treatment.
Tackett said it appeared the pilot was flying south to north when he attempted to land. The plane went off the west side, nosed into the ground, and flipped.
There may have been landing gear issues, according to the chief.
The FAA will investigate the cause of the crash.
