HOT SPRINGS--A father charged with second-degree murder for the death of his four-month-old son has pleaded innocent.

Eighteen-year-old Jamelle Lamont Craven of Hot Springs has a court appearance next month.

An arrest affidavit said that Craven called nine-one-one to say the baby appeared to be dead and that he needed help. The infant was pronounced dead at a hospital. An autopsy revealed bruises and three skull fractures and found them to be the result of ``deliberately inflicted trauma.''

Craven said he found the baby unconscious in his bassinet. He was arrested this past week and pleaded innocent yesterday. He is held at the Garland County Jail.
