KEISER, AR -- Keiser Police Chief Jimmy Bohannon, Jr. was arrested in Osceola by the Osceola Police Department last night around 6:30.

Following a brief investigation by Osceola officers, as well as those with the Arkansas State Police and Mississippi County Sheriff's Department, 37-year-old Bohannon is charged with two counts of delivery of a controlled substance believed to be prescription narcotics and one count of burglary & theft.

He is being held in the Osceola jail on a $150,000 bond. For a small town like Keiser it's a tough situation to deal with.

"It's really sad if all these allegations are true, we all worry about illegal drugs and methamphetamines but a lot of people don't realize what pharmaceuticals do," said mayor Debbie Little, "I don't know that is just allegations and like I said it is an ongoing investigation."

The town of Keiser only has one full time police officer and a part time officer to patrol the streets. The part time officer is still covering a couple nights a week, but for now the town is receiving help from the Mississippi County Sheriffs Department to help fill the void.
