OAK PARK, Ill. (AP) _ Authorities are searching for three of six

inmates who escaped from Chicago's Cook County Jail.

Authorities say the men -- including two charged with murder --

escaped around midnight from a special housing unit for inmates

with disciplinary problems.

Authorities say the inmates took advantage of short staffing.

Only one guard was on duty in the housing unit last night instead

of two.

The inmates escaped after one of the men threw hot water on a

jail guard, then handcuffed him and put on his uniform.

One of the escapees was captured in suburban Burr Ridge this

morning. Two others were found near a transit line in suburban Oak
