SPARTANBURG, SC - Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee says the U.S. economy can rebound from recent hardships because Americans have a way of reinventing themselves.  Huckabee was in Spartanburg, South Carolina, last night to speak to the county's Republican convention.

Before the speech, Huckabee said he won't decide whether to run for president in 2008 until after this year's elections.

Huckabee and other possible GOP presidential candidates are spending a lot of time in South Carolina, which intends to hold the first presidential primary in the South in 2008.

Other possible Republican candidates for president who have visited the state or plan visits in the first three months of 2006 include Arizona Senator John McCain, Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist and Virginia Senator George Allen.
