Wal-Mart Leader Earns More Than $5 Million in 2005

BENTONVILLE, Ark. (AP) _ Wal-Mart Chief Executive Officer Lee

Scott's salary and bonus pay for the year ending January 31st was

more than five million dollars. That's according to a proxy

statement filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange commission.

Scott's total compensation, excluding restricted stock awards, was

almost 16 million dollars. Scott's pay was down slightly from

the previous year. Scott announced this week that he will be taking

the month of May as vacation. Wal-Mart is the world's largest
