TUCKER, Ark. (AP) - Another worker has been fired at the Tucker Unit of the state prison system as officials continue an investigation. The Correction Department is continuing its investigation into a scheme to smuggle computer parts so they could be reassembled into working computers, and a related scheme to sell inmate transfers.

Prisons spokeswoman Dina Tyler says a maintenance worker who had been with the department for just under 20 years was fired Friday. She declined to identify the 55-year-old man because he can still appeal his dismissal.

Tyler declined to say specifically why the man was fired.

About a dozen employees have been implicated in the investigation so far. Four have been fired, five have resigned and four have been suspended. The maintenance worker had been on suspension before Friday's termination.
