Two Planes Added to Arkansas Civil Air Patrol's Fleet

LITTLE ROCK, AR - The Civil Air Patrol in Arkansas is getting two brand new planes, one at Little Rock and the other at Rogers.

The agency says the Cessna 182T single-engine aircraft have the most advanced avionics on the market.  The planes feature communications equipment that can transmit photographs taken while in flight to the ground stations and have radio-tracking devices that can locate emergency distress beacons.

The Civil Air Patrol is the official volunteer civilian auxillary of the U.S. Air Force.  The group helps in search-and-rescue operations and other emergencies.
