Man arrested after deputies find gambling machines

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - A Lawrence County man was arrested this week after gambling machines were found in his shop.
Vester Burns, 51, of Strawberry was arrested on June 15, according to the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies executed a search warrant at Burns' shop building behind his residence.
Investigators found "several gaming machines and contraband used to facilitate the operation of an illegal gambling operation," according to the sheriff's office.
The machines were seized and Burns was arrested for keeping a gambling house, criminal use of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a defaced firearm.
A bond of $1,500 was given to Burns on Monday.
