EPC’s Brandon Powell named Rivercrest head football coach

WILSON, Ark. (KAIT) - The Football Friday Night coaching carousel continues.

Rivercrest announced that Brandon Powell will be the new head football coach. He comes to the Colts after leading East Poinsett County to 85 wins over the past 10 seasons. The Warriors reached the 2A State Finals in 2023, 2024, & 2025. EPC made 10 state playoff appearances and captured 4 conference championships in his tenure.

Rivercrest recorded an 8-3 record in 2025 under interim head coach Brett Hardin. The Colts won the 3A-3 championship and reached the 2nd Round of the 3A State Playoffs. Hardin will continue to be the offensive coordinator.
