Valley View All-State DL Eli Thornton commits to Arkansas

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A Football Friday Night standout is thinking Razorbacks.

Valley View defensive lineman Eli Thornton committed to Arkansas Sunday afternoon. He had offers from Arkansas State, Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, Illinois, Purdue, Wisconsin, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, and Wyoming.

247 Sports ranks him as the #4 prospect in Arkansas in the 2027 recruiting class. Thornton had 18 tackles, 11 and a half TFL, 6 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 2 fumble recoveries last season.

He earned 5A All-State honors as the Blazers won their 4th straight conference championship. Eli enters his senior season with the Blazers.
