Man destroyed family’s home with excavator following argument with wife, police say
BUFFALO TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPXI) – A Pennsylvania man is facing charges after he allegedly tried to demolish his house while his family was inside.
Police said Erik Pierswza got into an argument with his wife after he arrived at the house in Buffalo Township on Tuesday.
Pierswza’s wife told police they were in the process of separating.
According to the criminal complaint, Pierswza shouted, “If it’s over, I’ll tear the house down.”
Pierswza then allegedly climbed into the excavator and began demolishing the home while his wife and two children were inside, police said.

The family was able to get out, and they were not hurt.
Police said Pierswza then drove away, but he turned himself in hours later. He faces numerous charges, including causing a catastrophe and reckless endangerment.
Police records show Pierswza’s wife planned to file a protection from abuse order. He is due in court next month.
