PITTSBURGH (KAIT) - Two Red Wolf greats howled in the same MLB game on Sunday.

Liam Hicks was 2 for 3 and scored a run as the Marlins beat the Pirates 4-2. He collected singles in the 5th and in the 8th innings. The Canadian also drew a pair of walks. Hicks is batting .277 with 13 home runs this season. He’s top 10 in the majors with 51 RBI.

Fellow Arkansas State alum Tyler Zuber got the ball in the bottom of the 8th. The White Hall native tossed a shutout inning and notched his 1st hold of the season. A hold goes to a pitcher that enters the game in a save situation, records at least 1 out and maintains the lead for the next pitcher.

Zuber has appeared in 4 games for the Marlins in 2026. He recorded his first MLB save on June 6th. The reliever has 3 K in 2.2 innings, he’s allowed 3 earned runs and 1 hit.
