JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) -St. Bernards Medical Center has a new staff member on hand.
On Wednesday, Daisy had her first day as a dog therapist.
Dog therapy is a growing field with a single purpose to bring joy in patients lives.
Daisy visited three patients along with several waiting rooms and nurses stations.
Her owner, Beth Greer, began the program because she knew her dog was extra special.
"She's ready to get out and see patients and spread the love and joy with everybody," said Greer.
St. Bernards plans to use Daisy more often as the program grows.
Their goal is to add more animals to the therapy staff.
