Crowley's Ridge College softball qualifies for CAC Tournament

Hot off the press! Pack your bags! We’re heading back to Georgia! The CAC official standings were released just moments ago with the four teams that qualified for the Continental Athletic Conference Softball Championship Tournament in Lawrenceville, GA at Georgia Gwinnett College on May 2nd-4th. In CRC’s final season competing in the Continental Athletic Conference, the Lady Pioneers made the cut, earning the number three seed in the tournament.

This post-season berth marks head Coach Jordan Malone’s fifth appearance in the last six seasons (excluding the COVID-19 incomplete season) in the CAC tournament. Malone’s Lady Pioneers sit 21-15 on the year and 7-1 in CAC play with a team batting average of .320, an on-base percentage of .392, and a team slugging percentage of .418. The Lady Pioneers have scored 240 runs off 311 base hits while collecting 59 doubles, 9 triples, and 6 homers this season. Defensively the Lady Pioneers have been solid on the field with a .953 fielding percentage. The Lady Pioneers are set to take on the number two-seeded Florida National University (20-19) in the opening round on Thursday, May 2nd at 1:30 PM CST.

Crowley’s Ridge is currently on a four-game winning streak.
