Tenaris announces major investment in Hickman welded pipes facility

MISSISSIPPI COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - Tenaris will invest $11.7 million to upgrade its welded pipes manufacturing plant in Hickman.
According to a company news release, the project will “bring new process controls to almost every aspect of the production process, enhance yard traceability and offer fully automated pipe movements.”
“This investment will strengthen the already important role our Hickman mill plays in our ability to serve the American energy market,” said Guillermo Moreno, Tenaris U.S. president. “Since we acquired this facility 20 years ago, it has served as a pillar of our industrial system, and that is a testament to the dedicated and capable team we have in place.”
The project is divided into phases and will take two years to complete.
