Jonesboro motorcyclist killed in Delaplaine crash

DELAPLAINE, Ark. (KAIT) - A Jonesboro man died Tuesday when his motorcycle ran off the road and overturned.

Arkansas State Police reported the crash at 5:50 p.m. April 14 on State Highway 304 in rural Greene County.

Cecil M. Meridith, 51, was eastbound when his 2015 BMW R1200 left the roadway on a curve and overturned in the ditch, according to the preliminary fatal crash report.

Meridith was thrown from the motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries, Cpl. Zachary Paschal said.

Greene County Sheriff Brad Snyder said multiple agencies responded to the crash, including deputies, the Delaplaine Fire Department, and ASP.
