Magnitude 1.9 earthquake recorded near Strawberry

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A magnitude 1.9 earthquake struck near Strawberry Saturday evening, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The agency recorded the quake at 6:18 p.m. The tremor was about 6.8 miles deep, with an epicenter 1.9 miles north of Strawberry and 23.8 miles northeast of Batesville.

The U.S. Geological Survey asked those who felt the quake to report it on the agency’s website. As of 11:30 a.m. Sunday, the agency said no one had reported feeling the quake.
