SIU Edwardsville guard Lezhauria Williams signs with Arkansas State women’s basketball

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Arkansas State women’s basketball continues to find guards out of the transfer portal.

SIU Edwardsville junior Lezhauria Williams committed to the Red Wolves on May 29th, she made the move official on Tuesday. She played in 31 games for the Cougars in the 2023-24 season, Williams was 3rd on the team with 22 steals. She had 8 points, 3 assists, and 2 rebounds in November against Oklahoma State. Her only double figure scoring performance was an 11 point outing in December versus Harris-Stowe.

Williams led Rend Lake Junior College in scoring in the 2022-23 season, averaging 15 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game.
