Man’s legacy honored with community bench

MARKED TREE, Ark. (KAIT) -

A town honors a man who gave much to his community.

Colby Tacker was known throughout Marked Tree for always giving to the community and asking for nothing in return.

When he suddenly died in January, the community wanted to show how much he meant to them.

His fellow graduates in the class of 2010 crafted him a bench to remember him by.

His wife, Hope Tacker, will never forget the gesture.

“When my son is playing ball, he gets to come by and look at this every day, and it just means the world to us that they would go through the extremes that they did for our family,” said Hope.

The bench will remain at the sportsplex in Marked Tree, so he can be remembered by the community he loved so much.
