BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (KAIT) - In the spirit of Halloween, a prominent community partner in the Blytheville area is once again stepping up to help kids in the area who may need a costume.

Hillbilly Nate is a local auctioneer and a constant community partner with the Blytheville Police Department.

He recently dropped off Halloween costumes and pumpkin buckets at the police station so that children in need can get one for free.

Sergeant Robin Haught-Angel said it’s a massive benefit to have someone like Hillbilly Nate in the community.

“So, it really helps us out on the law enforcement side because it builds that bridge between the community and law enforcement, and just having parents come up here that had a needed, that needed a costume for their kid, it really builds the community involvement,” Haught-Angel said.

Sergeant Haught-Angel said they are currently out of costumes that Hillbilly Nate donated.

However, if anyone would like to donate costumes or candy, you can reach out to the Blytheville Police Department for more information.
