Walnut Ridge man dies after being struck by vehicle on Highway 67
LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - A Walnut Ridge man died Sunday morning when he was struck by an SUV.
Arkansas State Police reported the crash happened at 10:57 a.m. Nov. 2 on U.S. Highway 67 in rural Lawrence County.
According to the preliminary fatal crash report, 53-year-old Kathy A. Ruiz of Walnut Ridge was in the southbound lane following 53-year-old Anthony H. Ruiz, who was walking in front of her 2019 Honda CR-V.
ASP said a 1997 Infinity QX4 struck the rear of the Honda, causing it to strike Anthony Ruiz.
He was taken to Regional One Medical Center where he later died.
Kathy Ruiz and a child inside her vehicle also suffered unspecified injuries.
ASP did not identify the other driver.
