SIKESTON, Mo. (KAIT/Edited News Release) - The South East Missouri Food Bank announced Jan. 8 that Camille Peters has been named chief operating officer and Rebecca Lambert has been hired as corporate partnership manager.

Peters will oversee operations, programs, and the Food Bank’s partner agencies. She has worked at Southeast Missouri Food Bank for more than seven years.

“Camille has shown a deep commitment to our work and the neighbors we serve,” said Joey Keys, president and CEO of SEMO Food Bank. “I know she will bring that experience and dedication to this role.”

Lambert will lead corporate partnership efforts and help expand volunteer engagement with businesses and community groups. The position was added as part of the Food Bank’s strategic plan to strengthen ties with the business community.

“We’re excited to have Rebecca join the team,” Keys said.

“I’m excited to join the Southeast Missouri Food Bank and help build strong partnerships,” Lambert said.

SEMO Food Bank serves families, children, veterans, and seniors through a network of about 140 partner agencies and direct-service programs across a 16-county service area in southeast Missouri. The region has some of the state’s highest rates of hunger: about 1 in 6 individuals, 1 in 4 children, and 1 in 8 seniors live in food-insecure households.
