Corporal Johnathon Porter said Herren entered a home on Kirkwood Drive without permission Saturday, March 14, and began swinging his belt at three juveniles inside.

When one of the juveniles tried to stop Herren, Porter said in the affidavit that Herren pushed him into a recliner.

“The defendant then kicked open one of the bedroom doors to gain access to another juvenile,” Porter said. “At this point, the defendant pushed one of the juveniles onto the bed and hit the other juvenile with the belt multiple times.”

Porter said the juveniles told Herren several times to leave the home.

“The defendant then informed one of the juveniles that he was going to kill him before leaving the residence,” Porter said. “The juveniles told officers they were not injured during the incident.”

The juveniles’ mother, who owns the home, told police she was on the phone with one of them when the incident occurred. Porter said she provided corroborating information to police.

Officers later found Herren at his home and arrested him. According to online records, Herren was booked into the Greene County Detention Center at 6:39 p.m. March 14 and released at 11:09 a.m. March 15.

Hitt ordered him to have no contact with the victims.
