Judge sets $750,000 bond for Paragould man accused of raping juvenile
Circuit judge finds probable cause to charge John Daniel Pagan with Class Y felony
PARAGOULD, Ark. (KAIT) - A judge set a $750,000 bond for a Paragould man after police say he raped a juvenile.
Special Judge Barbara Halsey found probable cause to charge John Daniel Pagan with rape, a Class Y felony.

On May 26, a juvenile victim reported to police that they had been raped.
Investigators learned Pagan and a family member took the victim to the movies.
While there, the victim said Pagan began to touch them inappropriately.
“[They] didn’t know what to do and sat there staring at the screen,” the affidavit said.
The victim left briefly before returning. Investigators learned Pagan tried putting his hand back on the victim’s leg.
The victim pushed his hand away.
After they left, Pagan “told [them] he was sorry but had a big grin on his face.”
Halsey ordered Pagan not to be around any person under the age of 21 and to wear an ankle monitor.
Pagan’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 30.
