Jonesboro retail store to close in December

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - This Black Friday shopping experience will be the last for shoppers of Kmart in Jonesboro.
Sears Holdings confirmed to Region 8 News that the 2010 South Caraway location will begin liquidation Thursday. The store will then close in mid-December, according to a company spokesperson.
"We have been strategically and aggressively evaluating our store space and productivity, and have accelerated the closing of unprofitable stores as previously announced," the company said in a statement.
The company would not elaborate on how many employees would be terminated.
