Sheriff: Two teens killed in train versus truck crash in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, AR (KAIT) - According to Clay County Sheriff Terry Miller, two teenagers, who were both seniors in high school, are dead after a train versus truck crash near County Road 154 north of Corning.

According to an Arkansas State Police fatal crash summary, the driver of the 2001 Chevrolet was driving east on Country Road 154 when they failed to yield to the oncoming train.

The train hit the vehicle on the passenger side, went off the road, overturned, and came to rest on the east side of the tracks.

ASP stated in the report that the road was wet at the time of the crash but conditions were clear.
