New Mall in Jonesboro

Jonesboro, Ark. -- Jonesboro's new mall is now officially on it's way. Monday Night at the Jonesboro City Council meeting, the re-zoning of the land for the proposed mall from residential to commercial was unanimously approved.
Right now, a design for the new mall has not been finalized, but we are told it will look something like Wolfchase Mall in Memphis as the same architech will be used.
It could be the first of the year before that design is finalized but that won't stop work from beginning as the site clearing near Kelly's Chapel Road and Southwest drive is set to begin next month.
