Agencies searching for person-of-interest in double homicide, victims identified
Law enforcement officers are searching for 32-year-old Jacob Lowell Smith.
FULTON COUNTY, Ark. (KAIT) - The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office has identified a person of interest in an Oct. 21 double homicide . Arkansas State Police also identified the victims in the case.
Law enforcement officers are searching for 32-year-old Jacob Lowell Smith. He is a person of interest in the deaths of Tonya Stallings, 54 and Ashley Stallings, 33 of Ash Flat.
Fulton County deputies responded to the 300 block of Sweet Clover Lane on Oct. 21 where they found the two dead inside a home, ASP said.

According to Thursday’s news release from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, deputies went to a Mountain Home apartment to serve a warrant on Smith and to search for evidence related to the double homicide.
“Looking into his background, it was discovered that Smith had a history of violence and was on parole,” Sheriff Jake Smith said. “Smith would not likely cooperate with law enforcement, and if he had any involvement in the murders, would most likely flee if questioned.”
The sheriff said it was “decided the best course of action would be to wait and see if investigators would find sufficient evidence to obtain a warrant.”
Eventually, Jacob Smith learned that he was named as a person of interest in the murders and had an active absconder warrant for his arrest.
“Smith’s current whereabouts are unknown at this time,” the sheriff said, adding that it’s unclear whether Smith is evading law enforcement due to the warrant or the murders.
Smith is described as 6′2″ with blue eyes, slender build, blonde hair but may be dyed, heavily tattooed with a distinctive bow tie tattoo on the neck and throat area.
The sheriff’s office said to not approach Smith and to consider him armed and dangerous.
