POCAHONTAS, Ark. (KAIT) - A Pocahontas man is being held without bond following his arrest for child rape.

On Thursday, Sept. 25, a judge found probable cause to arrest 54-year-old Jackie Allred after finding probable cause to charge him with the following:

  • Rape, a Class Y felony
  • Sexual indecency with a child, a Class D felony
  • First-degree sexual assault, a Class A felony

According to court documents, Pocahontas police began investigating Allred on Sept. 23 regarding allegations of child sexual abuse committed by Allred over a span of several years with multiple victims.

Following a forensic interview by a Crimes Against Children Division investigator with the latest victim, and after speaking with the other two victims, police said the allegations of sexual abuse were “consistent with each other.”

“These accounts establish a pattern of sexual abuse by Jackie Allred spanning multiple victims and jurisdictions,” the affidavit stated. “Each victim has affirmed their willingness to cooperate with the investigation and testify in court.”

On Thursday, Pocahontas police arrested Allred and took him to the Randolph County Detention Center, where he remains without bond.
