First Alert: Severe storms possible Monday
JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Part of Region 8 is under a low threat (level 2 of 5) for severe weather Monday afternoon and evening.

Meteorologist Kristina Balentine says we may see a few storms in our northern counties Monday morning, but those will likely not be severe if they move into Region 8.
The main threat for this afternoon and evening is strong winds
We could also see some large hail.
The tornado and flooding threats are extremely low, but not zero.

Our severe storms could start as early as 3 p.m.

The severe threat is over by 9 p.m., but showers may linger for an hour or so after.
